Children's portraits for gifts, elder portraits as memories, couple portraits, tribute pieces, and personal charcoal studies.

What to share

First discuss the photo, purpose, deadline, preferred A3 or A2 size, and delivery city. Once the commission is agreed, the final reference can be sent for pricing.

Pricing

Pricing depends on size, detail, number of subjects, image difficulty, and urgency. A final quote is shared after the reference and deadline are reviewed.

Artwork Use & Privacy Policy.

Clients may use the finished portrait for personal display, gifting, photography, and online sharing. Fazal retains the right to sign the portrait as the artist and showcase it online or in portfolio material as his charcoal artwork.

If the portrait is private, sensitive, or intended as a surprise gift, mention this before the commission begins. Privacy requests are respected and can be agreed before the artwork is created.

Before you book

Clear details make a better portrait.

Reference quality

Use a clear, unfiltered photo

The best reference has proper lighting, a helpful angle, and natural facial detail. Photos with Snapchat or Instagram filters are not ideal because they change the features that make the portrait personal.

Payment policy

30% advance confirms the work

A 30% advance payment is required to begin. The advance is not refundable after cancellation because the time and commission slot have already been reserved.

Revisions

Five revisions are included

Up to five revisions are included within the commission. These are intended for reasonable refinements that keep the final portrait aligned with the agreed reference and brief.

FAQ

Questions before commissioning a charcoal portrait.

01

What types of charcoal portraits can I commission?

Fazal accepts a wide spectrum of charcoal portrait commissions, including children's portraits for gifts, elder portraits as memories, couple portraits, tribute pieces, and personal keepsakes.

02

Which portrait sizes are available?

The common sizes are A3 and A2. Portraits are drawn on Canson Scholar sheet, and the final quote depends on size, detail, deadline, number of subjects, and reference difficulty.

03

How long does an A2 charcoal portrait take?

A single-person A2 charcoal portrait usually takes about two weeks. An urgent one-week timeline may be possible when the reference photo and schedule allow it.

04

What makes a good reference photo?

A good reference photo has natural facial detail, proper lighting, and a helpful angle. Snapchat or Instagram filters should be avoided because they change the facial features needed for an accurate portrait.

05

Do you provide frames with the artwork?

Frames are not included because courier services usually do not accept framed artwork. The finished portrait is carefully rolled and packed in a tube so the client can frame it locally.

06

Can the portrait be delivered internationally?

Yes. Domestic and international delivery can be arranged through DHL. Delivery timing and handling remain subject to the courier service.

07

What is the payment and revision policy?

A 30% advance payment confirms the commission and is not refundable after cancellation. Up to five revisions are included for reasonable refinements based on the agreed reference and brief.

08

Can my portrait stay private?

Yes. Clients may request privacy before the commission begins, and Fazal will respect that. Otherwise, Fazal retains the right to sign the finished portrait and showcase it online or in portfolio material as his charcoal artwork.
